Detailed introduction
Product Name: Polyether MN-500
Product introduction
MN-500 is a polyether polyol using KOH as a catalyst with a functional level of 3 and a molecular weight of 500. It is used in the preparation of polyurethane elastomer crosslinker, rigid foam crosslinker and foam caulk.
wrap
It is packed in clean, dry, sealed and leak-free special painted iron drum, with a net weight of 200kg per barrel; Or tanker, flexitank, IBC packaging, can also be packed according to customer requirements, packaging containers should be sealed.
Storage
When transporting MN-500, it should be strictly protected from rain and staining, and carefully handled to prevent leakage due to collision with hard objects.
When storing MN-500, it should be stored at room temperature in a ventilated and dry warehouse, avoid a humid environment, and the storage temperature should be kept below 50 °C, try to avoid sun exposure, away from water and heat sources. Or sealed in containers made of steel, aluminum, polyethylene or polypropylene, to prevent moisture absorption and oxidation, it is recommended to fill the container with nitrogen. Storage temperatures above 60°C will result in a decrease in product quality. Short-term heating or cooling has little effect on the quality of the product, but it should be noted that the viscosity of the product will increase significantly at lower temperatures, which may bring certain difficulties to the production and processing process.
Shelf life
Under the correct storage conditions, the shelf life is 6 months from the date of manufacture, and it can still be used after re-inspection.
Note: Low odor products are recommended to be used as soon as possible.
Security information
MN-500 is a non-dangerous good, with a high flash point and flammable. When on fire, extinguish the fire with foam, dry powder, steam, water, etc. Non-explosive. Virtually non-toxic with no special requirements for ventilation. Generally, the toxicity of neutral polyether polyol ingested into the mouth or in contact with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes can be ignored after skin staining and rinsed with soapy water, and when in eye contact, rinse with low-pressure water or ask a doctor for treatment. Staff may wear eye protection or safety glasses to protect the eyes. Eyewash and rinsing equipment should be provided near the workplace. It is generally believed that the product is not harmful to the skin. When working in places where product contact may occur, personal hygiene should be taken care of, and skin that comes into contact with products should be washed with detergents before eating, smoking, and leaving work.
Leak treatment
Stop leaks as much as possible while ensuring safety. If a slight leak is found, it can be treated with sand or other absorbent material and then placed in a clean, dry container for subsequent treatment2. If there is a large number of leaks, the leaked material should be collected for subsequent processing. Materials should be avoided from entering groundwater or surface water, as they are not readily biodegradable. All collected leakage materials should be disposed of in accordance with the relevant regulations of the local environmental protection department.
